How Tipoff credits work

Help-center article explaining how Tipoff credits are allocated per plan, consumed by capability, tracked in usage, and handled at overage.

Tipoff runs on credits: a single, flexible unit that meters everything the platform does on your behalf, from finding buying signals to revealing which companies visit your site. Instead of juggling separate limits for each feature, you draw from one monthly balance and spend it where it matters most this month. This article explains how credits are allocated, what consumes them, and how to keep an eye on your usage.

Your monthly allowance

Every plan includes a set number of Tipoff credits that refresh at the start of each billing cycle. Higher tiers include more credits (and more seats and connectors). Unused credits do not roll over — each cycle starts fresh — so it is worth pacing heavier tasks across the month.

What consumes credits

Credits are spent by capability, and different actions cost different amounts based on the work involved:

Lightweight actions cost little; deeper enrichment and AI research cost more. Read-only browsing of results you have already generated does not spend credits.

Where to see your usage

  1. Open Settings → Usage & Billing.
  2. Review the balance meter for credits used and remaining this cycle.
  3. Expand the breakdown to see spend by capability, so you can spot what is drawing down your balance fastest.
  4. Check the reset date to know when your allowance renews.

Watch the meter as a signal itself: if enrichment or reveal is climbing faster than expected, tighten your tracked-account list or ICP filters.

What overage means

If you use your full monthly allowance, capability actions that spend credits pause until your cycle resets or you add more. Depending on your plan, you can top up with additional credits or upgrade to a larger monthly allowance for a higher recurring balance. You will see an in-app prompt before you hit the wall, so there are no surprise interruptions mid-campaign.
