Searching the influencer database

A ~370-word help-center article for demand-gen users on searching and filtering Tipoff's influencer database, with sections on filters, tenant-isolated notes/lists, and data freshness/provenance.

The influencer database helps you find creators, analysts, podcasters, and community voices who already reach your ICP — so you can source event guests, co-marketing partners, and paid collaborations without leaving Tipoff. This guide walks through running a search, narrowing results with filters, how your notes and lists stay private, and how to read the freshness on each profile.

Run a search

  1. Open Influencers from the left navigation.
  2. Type a name, company, or handle into the search bar, or leave it empty to browse by filters alone.
  3. Press Search. Results return as profile cards showing role, platform, audience size, and topics at a glance.
  4. Click any card to open the full profile, where you can read the bio, review recent activity, and add notes.

Filter the results

Combine filters to move from thousands of profiles to a focused shortlist. You can filter by:

Filters stack, so a search like "developer-tooling creators in EMEA with mid-size, high-engagement audiences" resolves in one pass. Save a promising set to a list to work later.

How your notes and lists stay private

Tipoff is multi-tenant, and every workspace is isolated. The searchable database is shared, but anything you create on top of it — notes, tags, saved lists, and outreach status — is scoped to your workspace and visible only to your team. No other tenant can see your shortlists or read your notes, and you can't see theirs.

Data freshness and provenance

Each profile shows when its data was last refreshed and where key fields came from, so you can weigh confidence before you reach out. Prioritize recently updated profiles, and treat audience and engagement figures as directional signals rather than exact, real-time counts. Some actions consume Tipoff credits by capability, so filtering first keeps discovery efficient.
